Adjustable speed V-belt pulleys are adjusted by rotating, in quarter turn increments the precision threaded collar. There are 4 equally spaced set screws on the collar. One set screw is tightened down into a keyway on the outside diameter for the hub. The other /3/ set screw are tightened down on prepared flat spots in other quadrants. The adjusting factor, listed above, is used to compute the amount of change in pitch diam. Per each quarter turn of the threaded collar.
All adjustable pulleys are balanced in one plane according to VDI 2060,quality degree Q 16 at n=1500/min
Example:
To adjust an AJT 187 A1 pulley to a pitch diam. of 165 mm.. Max pitch diam. is 181 mm.
(Dmax - Ddesired)/4*K it is (181-165)/4*1,45 = 2,75 turns
